That's why we're all here - to change that. There is no reason why WinXX
would be better for video grabbing, the CPU cycles are used much more
efficiently in Linux so overall, you should be able to do grabbing a lot
more efficiently too. And for actual encoding, well that becomes an even
bigger gap.. but this is off the subject of this newsgroup.

From my experience, when it comes to the real thing, Video Grabing and
Storage, you must abandon Linux and switch to WinXX :)
