I have found out by myself that the bt878 chipset can do dma digital
audio by itself, but that the default drivers under linux rely on using
the analog pass-through cable to the soundcard.

So now I'm just wondering, can I enable digital audio with ANY bt878
based card under linux, or just a few? I guess it is just a matter of
setting up the btaudio mixer right? (I cannot test this as I currently
have a bt848 based card.)
