Weak, noisy signals and lots of time-base errors. There's lots of noise
from the FM demodulator circuitry (Y component), and lots of noise on the
AM-recorded chroma. The time-base errors seem to multiply from generation
to generation of tapes.

A time-base corrector would be a really neat app.
