wintv-d question (2nd try)

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

ehlo everyone. does anyone have any experience with the hauppauge
wintv-d card?
all i am able to get using xawtv (apperantly) is line noise.

any words of wisdom, experience, rtfms would be greatly appreciated. i
am trying
to get this to work using the analog cable input, on a debian 2.2
system. the cable
provider is mediaone (at&t) in the sacramento ca. area. i believe the
tuner is not being
recognised. when tuner.o is started without any arguments the i2c system
does not
appear to recognise the tuner. syslog reports:

kernel: i2c-core.o: client [NoTuner] registered to adapter [bt848
#0](pos. 1).

however when i provide the argument of type=2 to the tuner module, it
seems to
make no difference. bttv reports that it finds what looks like the right
card:

kernel: bttv0: Hauppauge eeprom: model=39000, tuner=Philips TD1536D (4),
radio=no

i note that the tuner is reported as a phillips TD1536D and later on
bttv reports
not finding something called TDA9875 and TDA7432. i am wondering if this
has
to do with the tuner, and the problem i am seeing?

thanks in advance,

<d/>
