I could rattle off a few examples, but unfortunately I've learned not
to answer these questions through extensive experience.

Do you want something that's low cost right now for a handfull of units
or something that's "low cost" over the long-term projection of an
organization-wide deployment of a feeping creature?

There are a lot of configurations that will work. Some of these
configurations are quite cheap, but only because they're being
discontinued or are otherwise in a fire sale condition. Many of these
configurations aren't widely available, or will shortly become difficult
to find. Some are definately affordable and widely available but not
what you'd call feature packed. And some people have differing
definitions of "low cost".

Only a few of the existing configurations will work out of the box with
redhat 7. All or at least almost all of them can be made to work with
every distribution released with the last two or three years. How do you
mean "Will work with Red Hat Linux 7"? The way you phrase the question
makes you look like someone in management rather than someone in
engineering, so I'm wary of giving any suggestions that are not
literally plug and play.

There is also the question of requirements. do you have a particular
application you're using? are you writing your own? What resolution and
frame rate are you looking for?
