Can't open device /dev/video says my w3cam frequently Even though I made a script that looks like this: cat S88ownVideo chown root:sys /dev/video0 chmod 777 /dev/video0 while sys is a group that I added apache to and apache is the user under which (per linuxconf) apache accesses CGIs I got that script linked in rc3.d and rc5.d sometimes I get that failure even when the permissions were still fine Sometimes those permissions don't seem to get changed or get changed after the change - What would be doing that ? Sure there is something I should do better - Am all ear !
