[V4L] Trouble Getting WinTV Go! to work.

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello All-

I recently bought a Hauppauge WinTV Go! PCI tuner card. I am trying to get
it it to work in Linux. I am using kernel 2.2.16. I rebuilt the kernel
with V4L enabled, and set up all the dev files and the like. I followed the
bttv mini howto.

It looks like my card is being detected properly...

When I go to run a program like xawtv, I just get a black screen. I have
tried hooking up inputs to the coxial in and the RCA video in. I only want
to use the RCA one...

I tried a number of other programs, and they are show nothing. I am very
new to this... sorry if this is something really easy. I followed the doc,
and searched the web...

I figured maybe I would try and download bttv-0.7.38 by itself. I also had
to grab i2c-2.5.2. When I try and "make" bttv, it bombs out with errors
like this:

[snip]

This line also shows up in /var/log/messages sometimes...

Aug 15 00:20:03 beast kernel: bttv0: PLL: switching off

	Thanks for your time!
